What is yoga?
Yoga is a form of exercise with roots in Asian tradition that aims to strengthen both body and mind. It includes various exercises including physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation.
Yoga is an accessible activity for everyone, regardless of age, gender and physical condition. Through yoga, one can achieve improved flexibility, balance, strength and a sense of general well-being for both body and mind.
Why should I do Yoga?
Yoga is a great exercise technique to improve your physical and mental agility. I chose to practice yoga to be able to relax and connect with my body and my emotions.
In addition to providing a feeling of renewed energy and freshness, yoga can also help monkey-mind, stress, sleep problems, poor focus and pain.
Yoga training can be a healthy lifestyle in a busy everyday life, where you give yourself half an hour to an hour to take care of your body, appearance and mind. It feels like a refreshing spa experience and self-love.
Hatha Yoga
I have my root in Hatha yoga. The word Hatha means “power”, and more precisely described, hatha yoga is a means of achieving a state of yoga through power. That is why hatha yoga is about finding the strength in yourself, in your body and in your mind. Hatha yoga is strengthening for your "I", your self-esteem and your sense of self.
Hatha yoga exercises have a physically beneficial effect on muscles and joints. They also have a calming effect on the mind and nervous system, and help improve memory and concentration.
When you practice Hatha yoga, you will get time to get into position and poses properly and correctly. You have time to "recover" after each position.
Group or 1 to 1 sessions yoga
Group and 1-on-1 yoga sessions include different elements. A group session typically consists of warm-up exercises, a designed series, relaxation and mindfulness exercises.
In a 1-to-1 session, you will experience a more personal and in-depth yoga training, where I guide you and help you perform the exercises correctly and stretch to the maximum. I also include massage of legs, hands, arms, shoulders, neck and head.
An extra bonus of my yoga training is that I combine yoga exercises with mindfulness, if you need.
